    Sedum and Tomatoes

    Sedum Autumn Joy

This post is going to be short and sweet.  It's been crazy hot here, we are near severe drought level and I am completely over it.  I've spent countless hours rotating sprinklers around and the weather forecasters are calling for no relief.  Also, I had 3 photography sessions for Pamela Greer Photography this weekend.  I am usually completely dead in the middle of summer because of the heat, but not this summer!   I did a session in a sunflower field that I'll try and remember to share a photo or two next week for Garden Tuesday.

Anyway back to this week.  Everything is so short this year.  My Sedum Autumn Joy (pictured above) is about ½ it's normal height and some of it's flowers are already starting to get their first blush of pink.

    Cherry tomatoes in pot

Since we belong to a CSA and get a big box of farm fresh veggies every week, I don't really do any vegetable gardening.  However, I can not resist planting a couple of cherry tomato plants in some pots.  You can always use more cherry tomatoes!

      Beautiful sedum!
I am depending on the farmer's markets for my fresh veggies this year.
Hope to be able to grow my own next year
      Have a great week-end!

More cherry tomatoes. I like to just pop them in my mouth. Enjoy and try to stay cool.
