Coco Kitty and The Wild Flowers

    Calico cat on garden path

These photos of our kitty cat,  Coco kitty, are actually from almost exactly a year ago.  Yes, I have that much of a backlog of kitty cat photos!  I actually have 1475 cat photos in my Cats folder in Lightroom.  That's photos that have not been edited.  Some of them are even of Smudge, who we lost in 2012.   So, please pay no mind if I occasionally pull from the archives.  I do so want to work my way through them.  Now, granted not all 1475 cat photos are worthy of editing, but I still have to cull through and find those that are.

Another reason I went pulling from the cat photo archives is because our back yard is a bit of a mess right now.  We had septic tank issues and the contractors promised that when they were through we would have a small mounded area that looked like a freshly dug grave.  What we ended up with was a large, sloping muddied area that looks more like a hastily dug mass grave.  It's awful.  They put an access pipe way to high and then tried to scoop dirt from other areas of our yard to make it look like it's ground level.   Which reminds me, I really do need to go find out where I can leave a review for their services.

For my artsy cat, I used Topaz Labs plugin Simplify 4, the watercolor II preset.

Coco is gorgeous...another calico! Reminds me of my long-haired calico, Bambi, who I had when I was a teen. Memories.

Wonderful shots, as always. I love the artsy cat.

I love looking through old photos. In fact, a few years ago, I found an old camera of mine stashed in a back drawer, and I had those old photos developed. Such memories! They're priceless to me.

Beautiful spring shots of Coco and the purple flowers. She looks so happy. I love that look our kitties get in their eyes in spring. kindy twitchy & relaxed at the same time. 1475 photos, eh? It's not easy to go through a lot of photos. I try to at least number my photos after I take them before categorizing, otherwise I'm lost. Good luck with going through it all. I've been there! And am still there!

Coco is such a beautiful girl! I love her coloring. The flowers compliment her quite well. I hope that your septic tank issues are resolved soon. Those are the worst!

My garden sounds a bit like yours and we haven't had the plumbing issues. I'm busting to pull out a raised sleeper bed and plant a screen of lilli pillis. Might even post about it. Stay tuned.
