Wine Review Survivor Offspring 2015
Survivor Offspring, 2015, Cape Red Blend. Wine Awesomeness. They say: On the nose - Ripe dark fruit entangled with herbaceous notes. Blackberries, pepper, anise and tilled earth. On the palate - soft and supple tannins with gentle acidity and grip. Very Easy-drinking with flavors of licorice fruit, ripe berries and damp clay. This wine was named after a Nguni cow, (the traditional livestock of the Zulu people in South Africa,) who jumped off a truck and into their vineyards. She not only survived the daring jump but also had many offspring. This wine speaks to her success and children. This wine is a blend of 40% Syrah, 40% Pinotage, and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. We say: Luscious red fruit, herbaceous and earthy notes. Excellent!
This is our first wine that we tried from the new wine club that we joined, Wine Awesomeness. So far, we love it!

A good winter drop. We are quaffing some fruit, flowery roses here due to the ridiculous heat.
