Apothic Red Winemaker's Blend 2016 - a yummy, easy drinking red wine. Reviewed for this week's weekend wine reviews.
2016 Apothic Red Winemaker's Blend
Red Winemaker's Blend. I forgot to write down where I purchased this from and how much it costs, but the prices seem to range from $8.99 to $12.99. The wine is a blend of Zinfandel, Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. They say: tasting notes of black cherry, vanilla and mocha.
Wine.com gives it 4.3 stars and states that the Zinfandel gives notes of dark fruit and subtle spice while the Merlot and Syrah bring hints of black fruit and a smooth mouthfeel. The Cabernet Sauvignon creates a firm structure and bold flavors.
Vivino has it for $10.99 and it has 3.7 stars and is featured in the Best Wines Under $20 right now.
We say: Light to medium bodied. Red fruit and cherries. A little tobacco on the end. Very nice and easy drinking. Will buy again.
Some other red blends that we've enjoyed: 2015 Survivor Offspring Cape Red Blend and 2014 Rotation Red Wine Blend.

That does sound like a good wine buy and I rather like the label. Bottoms up!
