A review of Ott & Murphy Intrepide wine for Weekend Wine Reviews #272.
On a recent vacation to Washington State, one of our visits was to Whidbey Island. While there, we wandered into the Ott & Murphy tasting room. We loved what we tried so much, that we brought two bottles back with us. This was one of them.
Ott & Murphy Intrépide, 2010, Columia Valley, Whidbey Island, Washington, $36.00 They say: cabernet sauvignon and petit verdot with a splash of merlot. We say: Red currant and cocoa nibs, a bit of violet. Excellent!

We're drinking whites and light reds here although summer has taken a holiday for a few days. It's actually cold and wintry. Your wine would be a nice match for my dinner tomorrow night - duck legs with a redcurrant glaze.
