    The Neighborhood Siamese

LAST UPDATED: January 21, 2019 PUBLISHED: May 6, 2016 By Pam Greer 24 Comments As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

    Siamese cat

No, we didn't get a new cat.  Well, it appears we sort of did.  This guy?  He lives about 5 houses away from us and around a corner.  That doesn't stop him from acting like our backyard is his.  He first started coming around when Luxie was in heat, but after we had her spayed, he stopped visiting regularly.  Now, however, he is back.  Every time I look out, I see him laying somewhere around our yard.

    Siamese cat in the garden

I wasn't sure why he was hanging around all the time until yesterday.  Yesterday I noticed that I hadn't seen our feral kitty, Winston, all day.  But the dry food that I leave out for him on the screened in back porch had been eaten quite a bit.  I just assumed he was stopping by to eat when I was not looking.  However, I heard the catdoor and ran to see if it was Winston, and it wasn't, it was Mr. Siamese.  Just making his way through the cat door and onto the porch and straight for the food!  I opened the door and shooed him off the porch.  He left, begrudgingly, but didn't go far.

    Mr. Siamese

Later, I looked out the window and saw Winston making his way through the neighbor's yard.  Then he stopped and looked concerned.  There was Mr. Siamese just laying there blocking his path.  Winston stopped.  They weren't aggressive, but I could tell that Winston didn't want to pass by him.  For being a feral, Winston does not appear to be aggressive.  He doesn't want to fight.  Perhaps that's why he looks as good as he does.  I grabbed the water bottle and chased off Mr. Siamese with a couple of good squirts and Winston came back on the porch to eat.  I hate to run off a nice cat, but I can't have him keeping Winston from eating, besides I know where Mr. Siamese lives and I know he has a nice family and house to go home too, unlike Winston.

Here is Mr. Siamese done up all artsy.

Mr. Siamese looks like he is the lord of the manor. He does look regal.

Mr. Siamese is a cutie, but he shouldn't infringe on Winston's territory. I'm just glad they didn't fight.

A handsome intruder, rather like the tall, dark, good-looking stranger!

the Siamese cat is quite regal- however I am more partial to Winston! You have a lovely garden! The Solomon Seal is so graceful how it gracefully curves down.

It sounds as if Winston might be socialized enough to be taken and neutered and given a permanent home by you or someone else. We fear that the Siamese will eventually run him off. That little guy is a beauty! But he won't be little for long if he keeps eating all that food! I know it must be hard to squirt him, but it sounds like you're totally doing the right thing!

Mr. Siamese is a beautiful kitty but he seems to be a glutton. You can't let him eat Winston's food.

I would feel the same, much as the siamese is a cool looking guy, you have Winston to think about. Good move with the water!

Your place is becoming quite the feline drop-in centre. There's quite an air of superiority on that Siamese's face.

I don't think the food is the only reason that "Mr.Siamese" comes to your yard, I think it is because he looks sensational with your decor 😉

Mr. Siamese is very handsome, but we kinda wish he would stick to his own yard so Winston won't be so afraid.
