A review of Domaine De Menard Cuvee Marine 2014 for Weekend Wine Reviews #302.
Domaine De Menard, Cuvee Marine, 2014, France, $19, Wine Insiders. They say: Domaine De Ménard has been producing wines and cultivating vineyards in Gascogne since 1920. Since then, generations of family winemakers have produced wines and numerous awards have been earned in international wine competitions every year. This wine is a blend of Colombard, Sauvignon, and Gros Manseng, all local varieties. It is aromatic, elegant, and crisp. A true form example of the why the Cotes Du Gascogne is a source for very exciting French wines. It tastes like: tropical fruits, pineapple, grapefruit, and bell pepper. It is best served ice cold. It pairs well with seafood and poultry and spice ranging from cumin to dill. We say: a little tart with plenty of citrus and pineapple. Very nice!
