A review of Mont Gravet 2015 Carignan for Weekend Wine Reviews #324.
Mont Gravet, 2015, Carignan, Pays d'Herault, France. Wine Awesomeness. They say: This wine hails form teh hills of the Hérault region of France's Languedoc, one of the largest wine producing areas of the country. Nestled up against the Mediterranean Sea, the climate is the perfect place to make a soulful, jammy and crowd pleasing juice. This wine is made with an under-recognized grape, Carignan. On the nose, blackberries, blueberries, and dark cherries. It has an uber luscious and jammy, but elegant finish. We say: smooth and creamy, with a medium body. Little tart on the finish, fruit forward with lots of blueberry. Very nice!

Wonder if it would benefit from cellaring or do the French just keep the best wines for themselves?
