A wine review of Tiamo Barbera 2015 for Weekend Wine Reviews #330.
Tiamo Barbera, 2015, Provincia di Pavia, Lombardy, Italy. Wine Awesomeness. They say: At first you get damp earth aromas, wet moss, sea splashed sandlewood and briny notes. Definitely not a fruit bomb. As the wine breathes, you get melted purple popsicle, raspberry and sandy lavender. It is extremely layered with a beautiful depth. Give this wine an hour or so to open up to get the full extent of everything it has to offer. This wine is 100% Barbera, it is right in the middle between light and heavy and fruity and earthy. We say: Creamy mouthfeel, light to medium bodied. Hints of strawberry. Not jammy and nice blend of earth and fruit. Lots of depth.
