A review of Pierre et Papa 2014 for Weekend Wine Reviews #333.
Pierre et Papa, 2014, Côtes de Gascogne, France. Wine Awesomeness. They say: This wine is 90% Colombard and 10% Ugni Blanc. On the nose, aromas of freshly picked slightly bruised white peaches with torn mint leaves. Lip smacking acidity cuts through this medium-bodied wine. With it's 11% alcohol this is an excellent Sunday afternoon wine. It is slightly reminiscent of and old-school Sancerre. It is dripping with tons of tropical paradise notes, laster beams, and limeade. It smells like early morning sunshine on dewy suburban garden leaves. Tastes like golden raspberries. Lots of zesty key lime pie notes finishing with a slight hint of fruit cocktail. We say: A very elegant medium bodied white wine. Hints of pear and floral. Very nice!!

I think this wine went a step too far. Do they think we wouldn't buy a wine more simply described?
