Winter Capsule Wardrobe The Black Sweater

I am a firm believer in "When all else fails, wear black."  You can't go wrong with black.  It's timeless.  I always have a black sweater in my Winter Capsule Wardrobe.  A couple of years ago, I found this black French Connection sweater with striped sleeves at Marshall's.  It instantly became a favorite.

I love everything about it.  I like it's loose, sort of boxy shape, which is so comfortable.  Also, like most French Connection sweaters, it is so soft.  I am really picky about how clothing feels and this sweater feels good.  I also love the fun take of the stripes on the sleeves!  Horizontal stripes are my favorite, but wrapped around your body is not always a good look.  But having the stripes on the arms, is a total fun look!

I admit, I turn to this sweater time and time again.  It has just the right amount of playfulness to make the outfit.  Here I pair it with Calvin Klein Ultimate Skinny Jeans and black Antonio Melani Boots.  This is loosely based on outfit #9 from the French Minimalist Capsule Wardrobe from Classy Yet Trendy.
