Capsule Wardrobe Essentials - Jeans
I thought I would do a bit more systematic approach to my spring capsule wardrobe posts. Instead of just jumping in with the outfits (especially since it does not feel at all like spring around here) I decided to do a few posts on the components of my wardrobe. I thought I would start with a Capsule Wardrobe Essentials - Jeans. To keep it simple, I've paired my jeans with the same chambray top and Adidas shoes.
Calvin Klein Ultimate Skinnies
Starting off are these dark Calvin Klein Ultimate Skinnies (similar, black). I think dark jeans are an essential because they dress up so much easier than a lighter faded style. Imagine if I added a dressy white blouse (drape mock neck) and flat black shoes with these jeans - they would be perfect for a night out.
Lee Modern Series Dream Jean
These Lee Modern Series Dream Jeans (similar, similar) in a medium wash are the jeans I live in. The medium wash can be dressed up or dressed down. It's not too dark, not too faded, in the words of Goldilocks, they are just right!
Lucky Brand Faded Wash Jeans
My last pair of jeans for my spring capsule are my favorite Lucky Brand Faded Jeans (similar, slim boyfriend). They are super comfortable, with a nice boyfriend style. I don't dress them up, but I love them with a simple white t-shirt.
There you have it my Capsule Wardrobe Essentials - Jeans. I have mentioned before that I base this all very loosely on the French Minimalist Spring Capsule Wardrobe from Classy Yet Trendy. This is a good example of what I mean. Instead of having black jeans, gray jeans and blue jeans like in the capsule, I choose to have 3 different washes of blue jeans.
