Patchouli Kitty in the Garden
This post is going to be short and sweet because we are getting ready to have a garage sale tomorrow! Several years ago we decided garage sales were not worth the trouble and we gave away tons of stuff to Goodwill. But when a neighbor said they were having a garage sale, we decided we might as well put some things out.
"Put some things out" - that sounds like we have a few things doesn't it? Well, believe me, we have more than a few. I was one of the first sellers on Ebay and went to garage sales and estate sales all the time. When I stopped selling, I still had quite an inventory. We have 8 chandeliers hanging in our garage, if that gives you any idea!
So, I've spent this past week, dragging out box after box and pricing things. I've still managed to work in the garden a little in the mornings, before it gets too hot, with Patchouli helping.
I haven't had time to visit many blogs, so I hope to get back to visit some of you as soon as this sale is over. I have the feeling that when it's over, I'm going to come to the "let's never have another garage sale again" decision. I already hate that I'm going to be spending tonight (Friday evening) doing last minute pricing and then getting up way too early tomorrow morning to drag it all out in the heat and hope for no rain.
I think Patchouli agrees with my feelings about the garage sale!
This week I used Topaz Labs for my artsy photo

I'm guessing you're going to be resting this weekend after last weekends hard work. I've never done a yard sale. I just don't want to either.
Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. ♥

I hope you made some money for your efforts. I decided a long time ago, after helping my aunt with many sales over the years, that I would really rather not EVER have one. lol So, I agree with Patchouli's view. What a cute pic! She's a doll. =^o^=

I could use a chandelier. 😀 We are moving later this year or early next year and I need to get rid and sort out so many things! My new quote is "You don't need more space, you need less stuff". No truer words were spoken. Your cat is so beautiful and has such a cool name!

Beautiful photos!
As we've recently moved house we still have loads of stuff in boxes and lots in storage in the garage. We will get round to clearing it all one day as we are still getting over the stress of moving. As I get older I find myself becoming more minimalist though.

It is always a delight to see Patchouli, and the second image of her today are quite captivating, I wonder what captivated her? Sounds like with all that new space you'll discover, weather and sales permitting, you'll create a wonderful cats playground.... Heaven forfend you'd think of putting human stuff back ! MOL

We've never had a garage sale. Dad says it is not worth the time and the effort, so our humans donate everything. That's a lot of chandeliers! Patchouli, you are outstanding. The garden colors are the purrfect back drop, and we love that little hint of tongue. Hope y'all made lots of money at the sale, so your mom can buy you lots of cat treats. Patchouli is so pretty but we think she thinks garage sells are too much trouble.

We hope the garage sale is a success. It's always better if you can do it with someone else, like a neighbor. Years ago, where the mom and dad used to live, the whole neighborhood would participate in a street sale. It was always well attended...and a big success.

Patchouli is so gorgeous. Good luck with the tag sale, I have given up on having them and just donate now or sell anything worth money of craigslist.

I wish I could have a yard sale myself! One must appreciate having a good neighborhood. Such a cute kitty, and gorgeous photography! Loved your cemetery pictures on your other blog too!

I hope the garage sale goes well. Patchouli is good at letting her feelings be known about it. The art effect is subtle and lovely.

I hope you do well with the garage sale. I've never done one and I never will. Too much work for me.
What a good looking cat. Your cats are so photogenic. Okay, I know you're a great photographer too.
Have a purrfect Feline Friday, Patchouli. My best to your mom. ♥
