#collection Wines by Gia Coppola #thirsty Red Blend 2016. Coppola Wines. From Wine Awesomeness. They say: 50% Cabernet Franc, 25% Syrah, 23% Petite Sirah, and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon. Wine maker: Corey Black. Alcohol: 13%. On the nose: Green peppers and jalapeño seeds, lots of bell pepper and dark red cherries. On the palate: medium body, medium acidity, easy drinking with low tannins. This red blend tastes like eating juicy red plums, while dancing through a wet Oregon forest. Lots of dark, plummy jam with a pleasant minerality. An easy drinking summer red.
Another winner from Coppola Wines
We say: Totally yummy! Bold flavors, red fruit, tart cherries and a nice long finish! Super easy drinking! Would be great for parties, especially since the bottle is a liter!! Love the extra wine! Plus it gets bonus points for putting a kitty on the label and for matching my petunias!
More about this wine: This is the latest wine to come out of the Coppola Winery. Gia Coppola is Francis's granddaughter. She wanted to create a wine that was fun and drinkable. The label name complete with hashtags has a definite millennial feel. The grapes were sourced from various areas of California's North Coast and Knight's Valley.
