Cats on Placemats!
I have been in the habit of leaving our placemats out on the dining room table. One less thing that I have to do before I serve dinner. Only one problem. Someone has decided that the placemats are quite comfy. Comfy kitty placemats mean lots of kitty cat hair. It's hard enough keeping cat hair out of the food in this house without trying to serve dinner on what essentially become a kitty cat bed.
Coco doesn't see what the problem is. The placemats are perfect for grooming and for just watching the birdies outside the dining room window. She does want it noticed that the focus is all wrong in the first photo, focus should be on kitty cats, not flowers!
I found some older placemats that we weren't using and set them up on the table. Problem solved. Everyone is happy again. So happy that this is now our morning ritual. We get up, have breakfast, go outside for a little bit, come inside and head to the placemat for a nice long nap.

Story of my life! No matter what I do, the cats always end up on the placemats. I guess I should just embrace it and take some pretty photos of the fur kids. Btw, Coco is stunning.

MOL, Silly humans thinking that the dining room table is off limits. The Tribe of Five believe that the dining room table is a purrfect place to hang out and watch the birds and squirrels at the upstairs feeder. Humans, when will they learn?

Being cats we don't think there ever was a problem, but our Mommy unreasonably sides with you and doesn't think we should lay on her good place mates. Really humans can be so unreasonable and of course the focus of all photographs should be THE CAT.

I don't know what it is about little square things and cats. We have little pieces of carpet for our cats on the floor. Lately my wife has been putting out magazines for one of our cats. You would think a magazine is slick and cold, but the cat is just as happy with it as she is with carpet or a folded tee-shirt. Go figure.

We love these photos! And yes, this is the exact reason we don't use our drawer-full of placemats. We figure we already eat enough cat fur around here and don't need extra garnish on our veggies.
