Transitioning from Summer Fashion to Fall Fashion
Well, we finally seemed to have jumped into fall practically overnight! I was having such a hard time thinking about fall fashion when it was 90 degrees outside. However, we went from sweltering to shivering practically overnight! So, now I am all about fall fashion.
Fall is one of the trickiest times to dress here in Tennessee. We wake up to frigid temps, but by the middle of the day it's warm and sunny. I overcome these obstacles with light layers and cute shoes, and by cute shoes I mean leopard print flats.
Leopard Print Shoes
I found these leopard print shoes from Anne Klein at Marshall's several years ago and they rapidly became a staple of my fall wardrobe. I'm not sure why I don't wear them in the summer, except the colors of a leopard print seem so fall like to me. Wearing them only in the fall has made them last for years, so I guess it's a good thing!
I also wear them in the winter when it's not too chilly because they look best when worn without socks. I love the look of flats and sneakers without socks and see some bloggers rocking that look all winter long, but I can't. My feet get so cold, if you are one of those bloggers, how do you do it?!!
Leopard Print Flats
This is the only pair of leopard print flats that I have. I would like to get another pair with a slightly different look. I am considering these Women's Ballet Flat D'Orsay, or these Aerosoles Leopard Loafer and what do you think about these Leopard Mary Janes?
Some of you may have noticed that I haven't posted any fashion posts in quite awhile. I've been trying to decide how or if I wanted to continue with fashion posts. Having built a capsule wardrobe last year, there wasn't much new to say. I needed some motivation.
I came up with an idea. My most popular posts last year were: Ivory Linen Tunic for Spring, Linen Tunic with Black Pants and Linen Tunic with Jeans and then the final roundup of those posts, Three Ways to Style a Linen Tunic.
I've decided to keep with that same premise. Basically adding about one new piece a month to my wardrobe and then showing 3-4 ways to style it and work it into my existing wardrobe. Next week, I will start off with a black blazer because that is the first thing I bought to add to my wardrobe for fall and winter. What do you think of this idea?

I like your idea of sharing several ways to wear one piece of clothing.

Thanks, I'm hoping it turns out to be a good idea.

Well Pam, I would go with the leopard print loafers because they don't look too bad with socks. I too like the look of flats without socks BUT it makes me laugh to see photos of women wearing shirts under a sweater under a jacket with cropped jeans and slipper- like mules. So I guess there's a small window for wearing flats in fall and I missed it already here in Michigan. Also, I like your idea of showing one item worn multiple ways.

I think the loafers are a good idea too!
