    Books Read in 2016

Books Read in 2016 - reading with book cases in background

Well, it's that time of the year for my list of books read.  I had a GoodReads challenge to read 60 books, and I came close with 54.  I think reading all 7 Harry Potter books is what did me in!    The links below are affiliate Amazon links, when I get some time, I will also include a link to my review here on the blog.  I haven't reviewed all of the books yet.  You'll notice that the majority of my books are a ⅘.  That's because I am pretty picky about what I choose to read, so I am usually fairly pleased with most books I choose.  5/5 means it was even better than I was expecting and anything below a ⅘ means that I was disappointed.  If I had to choose a favorite book of the year it would be a toss up between:  Magruder's Curiosity Cabinet and The Invisible Life of Ivan Isaenko.

I have found several of the books you reviewed at my local library and enjoyed almost all of them - just finished The Curious Charms of Arthur Pepper. Always appreciate finding a good book to read next.

I was keeping a list last year, and then....well, you know what turned my life upside down. I don't even think I can reconstruct my list for this year to date. It's fun reading your reviews.
