It's Christmas cactus time again! Mine started blooming around Thanksgiving and have been going strong ever since! Your can sort of see the creamy white colored one blooming away behind this one.
They've gotten so huge, I was going to try and create new baby plants from some of the arms (legs?) of the plant this past summer, but didn't get around to it. They are so big and heavy that parts of it just regularly drop off, so I know rooting it would be no big deal. One thing I did get around to doing was putting three of my baby spider plant arms (again are they arms or legs?) into little pots and rooting them so I could cut them off the main plant. You can see the 3 little pots on top of my china cabinet in the background. Not only did they route, now my babies have babies!
The pink on this Christmas cactus really is this intense! When the evening sun shines through it, it practically glows!
