This week as I was walking around taking photos of my garden, I noticed this dragonfly darting around. I waited for him to rest, so I could grab a few quick photos. I'm using a 135mm lens here which allows me to far back enough to not bother him. I could have used my 100mm macro, but I was too lazy to go back inside and change lenses! I think the 135 did a pretty good job any way! I love that blurred background that it gives!
Some of you may have noticed last week that I let my linky account expire. I mentioned this over on Tipsy Tuesday at Grey is the New Black, but if you have a blog, you are supposed to pay $20 a month to have the account. I just don't think I get enough activity to warrant that kind of expense, so I'm giving up Garden Tuesday. I'll still be sharing my garden photos on Tuesdays, I just won't have a link up.

It does create a nice background, something I've been paying more attention to lately. I didn't know that about having a blog with linky. I wonder if you could find something free.

I wouldn't have thought to use a 135 mm but after seeing your dragon fly I must say I love it. It creates a really nice dreamy bokeh background but also allows the dragon fly to stand out.

Aren't you lucky to have caught the dragonfly. Must be a good omen.
