A few photos of a foggy morning in my Southeast Tennessee Garden.

Did you miss Garden Tuesday last week? I know. I didn't post anything. You see, I've been listening to all the podcasts on how to make a blog successful and the one thing they keep mentioning is finding your niche. Narrowing down your focus. I think we can all agree that this blog is a little bit of everything, that's how I envisioned it. A place to share the things I like: food, cats, wine, gardening and reading (and I was going to knit something, but that never happened).
That means the blog lacks focus. I'm not a garden blog, so people looking to read garden stories, go to blogs that are all garden. I'm not a book blog, so if you want to read a bunch of reviews, you probably go to a book blogger. People looking for food go to a dedicated food blog. These leaves me wondering what I should do.
Should I just keep it the way it is. A sort of jack of all trades, master of none? I'm not sure what I'm going to do, but for now it will stay the way it is, while I figure it out. Opinions?
Back to my garden photos. The other day, I woke up, glanced out the garden window and saw all this gorgeous fog. So, I ran out to snap a few quick pics.
If you are wondering about why some are so brown and some are colder, it was the difference between my front and back yard. The brown ones are from the backyard where the sun was rising. It warmed the fog up. When I went around to the front yard, our house blocks the sun and it still had a cold night time look to it.
For this last photo, I was just playing with some textures.

I am in the same position - "find your target audience" - "find your 1 thing." BUT, people are drawn to us for being us and Pam Greer is more than 1 thing. It's why I read your posts. I love that you have so much to offer. Whether you change it up or stay the same I will keep reading.

I love your foggy shots--they are so mysterious looking. I just found your link up and hope to join again after my holiday.

If this blog is predominantly a commercial enterprise and needs to attract hundreds or thousands of commenters/followers then yes, you may have to refine your blog theme. Personally I think it would be a shame to lose the variety - it's one of the reasons I read your blog every day. One of only two blogs that I check daily. Your beautiful photos, delicious and interesting recipes, wine reviews, garden posts and the antics of your kitty Kats are most entertaining. If the blog is simply an expression of your experiences with aspects of life or provides you with a creative outlet then you get to choose what format and style to follow.

You are so wise. I think I need to consult you on all my life decisions!
Ann says
I don't know about wise but I have cheap consultancy fees - a nice meal and glass of wine is the current going rate.

I think you forgot the air fare to get me there!

I'm working on it but they keep selling me lottery tickets that don't win a prize.
Pam Greer says
You and me both.

Hi Pam ๐
I love your blog the way it is, since it seems to be a reflection of you. If you're looking to make money with it though, I'm not the gal to give you answers on that LOL
Gorgeous pictures!

I've been reading for a while and like your blog just as it is! Don't change a thing!

Really enjoy your blog Pam. Don't change a thing! The variation is so much more interesting, in my opinion.

I just started reading your blog on a daily basis. What keeps me coming back is the diversity. So go figure - I'm very happy with your scattered (?) Focus.

I have the same problem, Pam. My readers love when I post decadent desserts (and I love to bake), but I can't make 3 desserts a week. So I do a little of everything---at least for now. I'm not sure we'll ever know what's best ๐
