Follow along as I plant Fun and Games Hopscotch Foamy Bells from Proven Winners and then watch them grow as the summer progresses! Disclosure - I received complimentary plants from Proven Winners.
Fun and Games Hopscotch Foamy Bells from Proven Winners.
This will be my third year in a row receiving plants from Proven Winners to plant in my Southeast Tennessee garden. In 2016, I posted Proven Winners for Spring Planting and in 2015 I posted Spring Planting with Proven Winners. You can see that each year, I did a big post of all the plants that I received. I've decided to try something a little different this year. I'm going to share one or two plants at a time. Show when I received them, where I planted them, and then we'll follow them through the summer! Doesn't that sound like fun?! Today's post is all about Fun and Games "Hopscotch" Foamy Bells.
The first thing I noticed is that they are called Foamy Bells not Coral Bells. After a bit of research, I found out that there is a difference! Coral Bells are Heuchera and are North American natives. Foamy Bells are Heucherella are Coral Bells crossed with Tiarella. I had no idea! I just thought they were all coral bells! The first thing I noticed about these Foamy Bells are the gorgeous variations in the leaves, going from an olive green to a burnt orange.
With lots of mature trees in our back yard, it has steadily become more and more shady. So, I love finding plants that do well in shade to partial shade. I decided to plant them next to the Foamy Bells I had already planted.
Doesn't it look nice next to the Fun and Games Leapfrog Heucherella from my 2015 shipment from Proven Winners! It kind of blends in with all the oak leaves in the photo, but believe me it looks gorgeous!
If you have a partially shaded area, I can't say enough good things bout these Fun and Games Heucherella (Foamy Flowers) from Proven Winners! You can see how gorgeous and healthy the Leapfrog variety is from 2015!

Beautiful plants. I have not heard of these. Thank you for the comforting comment you left on my blog for the loss of Snowball.
