    Garden Tuesday Snowpocalypse Part I

Snow on Nandina with white picket fence

So, you’ve heard, right?  The south got some snow.  A lot of snow, well at least a lot of snow for down here – 9 inches in some places.  No school for 4 days.  Without enough salt and plow trucks, we have to wait for all snow and ice to melt off of the secondary roads.  Since a lot of those secondary roads are winding mountain roads heavily shaded with pine trees – it takes a while.

As you can imagine, I took a lot of pics.  Part one will be this week, part two will be next week.  Without further ado, I bring you the snowpocalypse at Sidewalk Shoes.

So, there you have snowpocalypse part one!  I’ll be back next with part two.  In case you’re wondering, in the above photos, the white house is mine, the blue house is my neighbors.

How about you, what’s in your garden this week?

Please join me for Garden Tuesday.

So beautiful Pam; as long as you don't have to go anywhere. We get lost of snow every year but we're equipped and ready for it. Plus all of our cars are 4-wheel drive. I can't imagine dealing with it in the south. I love your charming house.

You know what my yard looks like! I think we have close to 30" on the ground now. And I remember snow in Knoxville. A county commissioner actually told us, "God put it there, and God will take it away." That was the government answer to snow removal. It made me giggle.

Your neighbor's house is certainly vivid! And your neighborhood looks really pretty.

Your photos are stunning, do you get this much snow each year? We will be very glad to see spring in these parts.

Love the photos....you should post a pic of the back of your house next week. But I suppose the snow is gone and if you didn't take a back photo the opportunity is gone. Still.

Snow is somehow so much prettier in the south!
