Sometimes in the middle of winter it is hard to remember how green it is in the summer. All the different shades of green. After staring at months of brown, I am ready for some green. Now, I know that some of you have been staring at months of white and you are ready for some greens of summer for a whole different reason! We were supposed to get some snow with this last storm. At first it was 5-8 inches! Then, 2-4 inches. Later - just ice, possible ½ inch! And finally, possible sleet changing to a cold rain. From 8 inches of snow to a cold rain in just a couple of days. While, I don't want ice, a few inches of the white stuff would have been nice. I will continue to wait for summer as I edit my way through my backlog of garden photos.
Early morning sun on tomato plants.
Black-eyed susans popping up where ever they feel like!
Fennel blossoms going to seed.
Purple coneflowers that self-sowed themselves a little too close to the woods and now they must stretch for a little bit of sunlight.

Hostas are lovely, especially the variegated ones. I think my garden is too hot for them.

HI Pam:)
I was actually just over to Tipsy Tuesday wishing I had that enticing libation right by my side. Tea just doesn't cut tonight.
I kinda wish things were brown around here Pam. They are white, sometimes blindingly so. However, we did have burning sunshine today thank goodness. Now only if there were some tomato plants growing. That shot of yours is refreshingly subtle.
Thank you so much for sharing, Pam...I miss Summer too:)

We've dodged most of the snow that's been slamming the Northeast. I wish we could dodge the single digit temperatures, too.
