A review of a new wine club that we joined, Wine Awesomeness for Weekend Wine Reviews #316.
Wine Awesomeness Wine Club Reviewed
It's hard to believe that this Weekend Wine Reviews #314. That's a lot of weekends and a lot of wine. It takes some effort to keep up with all this wine drinking and one of the way we make it easy on ourselves is to use a wine club. We previously had belonged to another wine club, but after a year or so, we realized we were getting too many duplicate wines. While sometimes, we would like to have multiple bottles of one wine, that is not the case with all wines. We are really open to trying new wines, not necessarily drinking bottle after bottle of the same wine, no matter how tasty.
So, we cancelled that club and I put "find a new wine club" on my to do list. After much googling and reading of reviews, we settled on Wine Awesomeness. What we liked about it was that it was monthly. You could get 3 white, 3 red or a combination of 6 bottles delivered to you once a month. I'm sure with 314 weekend wine reviews to ponder, you can guess which option we went with. Yep, 6 bottles.
We received our first shipment and were extremely pleased with the variety. We have only tried one of the wines, Survivor Offspring, which I reviewed here: Weekend Wine Review #313. It was excellent and we loved it.
Good wine is important, but what really sold me on Wine Awesomeness was that each shipment comes with their The Back Label Magazine. The small magazine contains information about each wine (perfect for me to use for my wine reviews.) Then as if that wasn't enough, each wine is paired with a recipe!
We are trying to finish off our wines from the other wine club, but I promise there will be some Wine Awesomeness wine reviews coming up soon!
