What a winter this has been. Or more like, what a winter this hasn't been. It has been so warm and so boring this winter. We finally got a dusting of snow Saturday night. At first they were calling for 2-3 inches, which is pretty exciting around here. As the time grew closer though, it diminished a little each time they forecasted the weather. Until we barely got anything. I still ran outside to photograph it before it disappeared.
This winter has been so bad for the blooming trees. Many bloomed early and then went from blooms to brown almost over night when we had a two day cold snap. Now they are calling for below freezing temps for 3 nights in a row this week. I'm afraid my blueberry bushes will not be producing any berries this year!
I hope the cold snap doesn't effect these oakleaf hydrangeas. It seems like it is so early for them to be this far along.
Our last frost free date is April 15th and not to wish away time, but I do wish it would just go ahead and get here. I'm tired of worrying about early blooming plants.
