It's starting to look like fall here!  The sedum autumn joy is taking on a rosy blush at the tips.  And why yes, that is a little morning glory-like weed vine growing amongst it.  The weeds have won this year.  I waived my white flag to them several weeks ago!

    Four O'Clocks | Sidewalk Shoes

Several years ago, I tossed some four o'clock seeds in our backyard bed and promptly forgot about them.  They aren't showy and apparently I am never out there when they are open, but I love them.  My grandma Etta had them in her backyard and I would watch the flowers open and then I would wait for the black seeds to form.

All we have growing are spider plants and begonias. It's a swamp here! Lovely photography. Off to check out your Grey is the New Black site....

My sedum is looking so lovely this month. Must be happy with all the rain and cool temps we had this summer. I'm already thinking of a couple of new spots to plant some next spring.

I've given up on weeds, too. In another few weeks, they'll succumb to the frost and be gone for another 6 months, right?
