A few photos of spring flowers around my Southeast Tn Garden.
Last week on Wednesday, we had the threat of severe weather. They were calling for high winds, baseball size hail, and isolated tornadoes. I decided to get up early and walk the neighborhood getting photos of all the spring flowering trees and shrubs before they got all of their blossoms blown off! I'm not sure what these pink flowering trees are, but I love them. Several homes on my street have them in their yard. I love the soft pink blossoms against the blue sky.
The dogwoods are also starting to bloom, though they don't seem to have as many blossoms as they usually do. Perhaps this mild winter and then late cold snap had something to do with it. Even so, they are one of my favorites.
One of my neighbors has these cheerful pansies in her yard. I used to plant them every late winter to enjoy their nodding heads all through spring. Then when it came time to pull them out, I always hated doing it, even though I knew they wouldn't last through the heat of summer.
What's blooming in your yard this week?

I think the pink ones are crabapples; at least, that's what mine are. As usual, you're a month ahead of me. My yard should be in full bloom about the time I venture south form my daughter's wedding!

Beautiful shots, I like the pink against the blue too. Our crocuses are blooming.

Pretty blossoms as Spring arrives. Did you get the storms? I hope not or that they weren't as severe as predicted. Our weather has turned - the last flush from the roses. Waiting for the camellias now.
