I love garden statues, don't you? I think they add such a lovely focal point in a garden. Above St. Therese stands at the front of my herb garden. My herb garden, which you might be able to see, is run amuck with wild violets. While I love the beauty of violets, they are crazy invasive. I think my whole bed is a mass of their underground tubers. There's also some mint in there, so it is amazing that I can even grow any herbs at all. Since St. Therese is also known as "The Little Flower" I'm sure she doesn't mind the violets.
Our backyard is lined with Rose of Sharons on each side. They are dotted with deep pink double blossoms.
It's also time for Crepe Myrtles to be blooming. You be hard pressed to find a yard here in Southeast Tennessee that doesn't have at least one crepe myrtle in it. It looks like big puffs of cotton candy every where you go!
