    Summertime Petunias

LAST UPDATED: January 31, 2019 PUBLISHED: June 27, 2016 By Pam Greer 13 Comments As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

    Superbells Petunias from Proven Winners

One of my first gardening tasks of summer (well besides beginning an early fight against the weeds) is to plant petunias in my porch flower pots.  We have a very small front porch and I hang two tulips on each side.  This year I have planted Proven Winners Supertunia Vista Fuchsia.   I just planted these, but I expect by the end of summer for them to be filled with petunias.  I love the vibrant hot pink color.

Last year, I had a different variety, Supertunia in Picasso and Burgundy - check out my blog post, here.  I think it will go down as my all time favorite!  It was a deep burgundy color rimmed in lime, so gorgeous!!

What about you, do you do potted plants around your home and garden?  I find it's my favorite way to enjoy annuals.

Nice flower, and pretty holders too!
I have several annuals in pots, but not petunias this year. I have Fuchsia, Bacopa, Snapdragon, Cosmos, Sweet Pea, Canna, Cala Lily and a lot more...

When I am "lazy" I buy hanging baskets, plop them in my containers, and cut off the plastic hanging straps. Looks like I cultivated beautiful flower arrangements.

Try sprinkling Preen in your flower beds before the weeds start, or after you've weeded. The stuff actually works. It will leave more room for your pretty petunias to sprout everywhere! Plus, you'll have more time for your Sunday Wine Reviews.

Pam, Wherever did you find those hanging flower pot holders? Love those and I've never seen those in stores before.
Just Lovely with the flower posts of Petunia's.
