On our recent trip to California, one of the wine tasting rooms that we stopped in was Tank Garage Winery. It is literally in an old garage/service station. It was one of the most fun wine tasting rooms that we were in! We brought this bottle of yumminess home with us!
Tank Garage Winery, Saint Jimmy Pinot Noir, 2012. Purchased at wine tasting room, $55. Russian River Valley. They say: Bold, dark, intense and persistent. We say: fruit forward with cherries and raspberries. Long tangy finish. Excellent! Buy again: Yes!!

My mom and I are going to spend a week in the Bay Area next month and we'll have a couple of nights in Santa Rosa (visiting family one night). Calistoga is only 30 minutes away, so this might be a fun winery to visit. Did you have to make reservations? That wine sounds great, but it might be a wee bit out of my price range!
