Our calico cat, Coco relaxing for The Cat Days of Summer.
Every Sunday Mr. Sidewalk Shoes and I sit on the screened in back porch and enjoy a bottle of wine. It’s for Weekend Wine Reviews that occur here every Sunday, like last week’s Sort This Out Cellars Chardonnay. So, it’s basically our job. Don’t you wish you had made up jobs like that? Well, the cats have jobs to. One of them has to hang out with us. Smudge used to take this job very seriously, but after he passed, the other kitties didn’t quite know what to do. The Sunday wicker stool sitting had always been Smudge’s job and he did it so well.
Lately, Coco has stepped up to the plate. The job description is simple. The cat has to rest on the wicker stool while we drink our wine. If needed, they must pose for photos. Big yawns and anything else cute is much appreciated.
While we miss Smudge terribly, I think Coco is doing an admirable job of filling in for his big paws.
So nice to see you again Coco! And we love the pictures of you, too!
