A review of Vinum Africa Chenin Blanc 2013 for Weekend Wine Reviews #298.
Vinum Africa Chenin Blanc, South Africa, $17, Wine Insiders. They say: The fresh vibrancy of white peach and apple aromas on the nose, hint at the wine’s sophisticated elegance and a touch of cinnamon and adds to its complexity. A generous mid palate of quince and pineapple and a weighty feel reward while the bright acidity refreshes with an interesting tang. It then tapers off into a clean, mineral finish that allows one to savor the wonderful balance of the wine. We say: Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Lots of citrus. Easy drinking and refreshing. Buy again: yes!

Love the label but not so keen on all that citrus. Wonder if we get many South African wines in my neck of the woods?
