A review of Chateau La Paws Pinot Noir for Weekend Wine Reviews #257.
It's very rare that I review two wines from the same cellar in a row, but that's what I'm doing this week. Last week I reviewed Chateau La Paws Chardonnay and we really enjoyed it. We bought that wine in St. Louis and didn't think that we would see it here in Chattanooga. However, while visiting our new liquor store in town, Cork & Flask, we found this Pinot Noir on the clearance table. Since it was on clearance, we needed to drink it right away to see if we needed to go back and get more. We do.
Rosenblum Cellars Chateau La Paws Pinot Noir, Sonoma, California. $8.99, Cork & Flask. They say: A velvety, rich Pinot Noir with layers of berries, caramel and coconut. A California-bred Pinot Noir that leads with fresh fruit flavors. French and American oak add layers of vanilla and spice to the expressive fruit. Pair this approachable Pinot Noir with roasted pork loin, duck breast in cherry chutney or a simple BLT. We say: we agree with everything they say. Very nice, especially at a clearance price! Buy again: yes!

Thank you for the review. I'm a beer drinker but I like to buy wine for gifts. You are very helpful.
