Since I work from home either blogging or editing photos from a photoshoot, I spend a lot of time with Luxie. We have a routine for our day, that makes us both happy. I thought I'd share a little of a typical Luxie day with you. We start out bright and early in the morning. After eating breakfast, I open up the door to the screened in back porch and Luxie enjoys the morning sun, the hummingbirds and the other birds at the bird feeder.
After that, she comes back inside and we bullet journal together. I've posted about our morning journaling, Morning Time with Luxie and Bullet Journaling with Cats. I also fill out my gratitude journal. I've also started another journal (What? There is no such thing as too many journals!) In it, I simply write for 5 minutes. Whatever comes to my head. I could have included that in my bullet journal, but I like the way it is working for me now.
Then I go downstairs to blog or edit photos and Luxie begins the arduous task of napping for about 12 hours. She starts in the living room.
Sometime later in the day, she moves to the family room. It would be much too lazy to just sleep in one room. It's much more fun to spread out the napping locations.
After lunch, we go upstairs to "read a chapter" - that is code word for reading as many chapters as I feel like and then maybe taking a little nap. I included this photo to show you how Luxie goes up the stairs. When she was a kitten, she was so tiny, she climbed every where. She couldn't jump on the couch so she climbed up the side of it. Now, instead of going up the stairs, she climbs them from the outside edge, claws grabbing the outside edge of each step. It's hard to explain, but she looks like a ninja kitty doing it! When she gets to the top, she squeezes in through the railings. When she was little, she would run between the railings, now she has to wiggle a bit to get through!

She's a mess. lol I got such a giggle from your description of her going up the stairs. Arya does weird stuff like that too. She never takes the straightforward approach.
You have such a beautiful home...and you take great photographs. Guess that's why you do what you do. 🙂 Luxie is photogenic, as always.

You take such pretty photos of Luxie, Miss Pam. She sits so sweetly in the window. I wish I had a screened in porch. Mom & Dad are talking about having one built. Is that Luxie's favorite seat in the porch? Mom asks if you have other pictures of your porch? She would love to see them. Hugs!

Luxie. we enjoyed hearing about and seeing your typical day. You and your mommy are so organized. Your stair climbing sounds very interesting. We like to jump on the table in the foyer and then dive through the railing about half way up. We do the same on the way down! Dive from a stair through the railing to the table.
