A review of Chateau Canon La Forêt Bordeaux Superieur 2014 for Weekend Wine Reviews #310.
Chateau Canon La Forêt Bordeaux Supérieur, 2014, France. Wine Insiders, $19. We say: raspberries on the nose, tart raspberries on the palate, a bit herbal. Light to medium bodied. We enjoyed this.
A little extra info: The Supérieur in the title of this wine shows that it is a slightly more superior form of wine than a standard Bordeaux. This means that they are typically richer and a little more complex. This is achieved by planting grapes denser, which requires them to struggle more. Bordeaux red's are produced from the classic Bordeaux grapes. These include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, with smaller amounts of Malbec and Petit Verdot.
