A review of Coastal Passage Pinot Noir, 2012 for Weekend Wine Reviews #285.
Coastal Passage Pinot Noir, 2012, Saddlehorn Cellars, San Martin CA. Wine Insiders. They say: Coastal Passage's cherry and raspberry fruit profile with Asian spice and cola notes round out a delightful drinking experience. It is food friendly and pairs beautifully with herb-roasted pork tenderloin and citrus-glazed duck breast. It tastes like: black cherry, leather, berry, earth, and tomato. Best served: slightly cooler than room temperature. 15 minutes in the freezer should make it about perfect. Pair it with lean grilled pork or slightly gamier fowl. We say: cherry, raspberry and cola. Very nice! Buy again: yes, very approachable and drinkable.
Happy Easter everyone!!
