    Coco Cat with Pumpkin

    Do You Decorate for Halloween?

Now, that the girls have grown, we don't do much in the way for Halloween decorations.  We don't really do anything specifically Halloween, it's more like just fall decorations.  We have a white ceramic pumpkin and and an orange ceramic pumpkin (which Luxie thinks is hers) and a few fall table runners and napkins.

To Carve or Not to Carve That is the Question

A few years ago, we got so busy that after we bought a pumpkin and set it out on the porch, we never got around to carving it.  Guess what?  It stayed good out on the porch up until it was time to put up Christmas decorations.  It didn't cave in or get moldy or do any of the other things carved pumpkins do.

Since then, we have never gone back to carving.

Coco approves since orange is her color.

I used Topaz Labs for my artsy photo:

Coco looks very nice sitting next to that pumpkin. ๐Ÿ™‚

Even though the boys are teens and not really interested, I usually still put out a bit of Halloween stuff (I used to go all out before they were born, and then still did some things as they grew older), but we haven't carved a pumpkin in two years. My mom bought me one of those big ceramic jack'o'lanterns, actually it's two stacked on top of each other, last year for my birthday and I put it out with one of those battery powered pumpkin lights. Unfortunately, I didn't get it put out this year. Not sure if I will. Oh well.

I will be starting my Christmas decorating very early this year. Probably within two weeks. I want to get it done early (inside stuff) and then get the tree and outside lights up Thanksgiving week. so I can enjoy the entire season without worrying about decorating. It always seems like a mad rush every year.

That is such a good idea to get Christmas decorations out early. We always wait too long and end up having to put up the outside decorations on a wet freezing day!

I absolutely LOVE your artwork! I used to carve pumpkins but never knew they will stay good if you do NOT carve them. That is great to know! We are on second floor of a condo so we really don't decorate for Halloween because there is no one to see it!

We decorate by putting out pumpkins and mums. But we don't carve the pumpkins.

We haven't decorated for Halloween for about 10 years. We are old and tired and go hide on our boat and let Halloween just pass us by.

      Coco is a beautiful cat.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. โ™ฅ

If we had a boat to hide on, we would go hide too!
