Today I thought I'd share a few random photos of Coco kitty. Anytime I work in the yard or go out to take garden photos, she almost always wanders up. She is the only cat of ours that spends a good part of the day outside. Though as she has gotten older, she seems to be a little less tolerant of both heat and cold. She stays in when it's too hot or too cold.
This post is going to be short. I am doing a lot of maintenance and clean up on my computer. It will be 6 years old in December, which I know is not crazy old for a Mac, but since I use it so intensively for my business, I can't just let it go until it stops. I have to be proactive and get a new one, when the old one is still alive, so I can easily transfer stuff over. Do you wait until your computer dies, or when do you start looking for a new one?
So, for the next week or so, I plan on deleting what can be deleted and backing up what needs to be backed up. I have a Raid drive for my photos, so they should be okay, but I also have a lot of stuff on my hard drive.
For my artsy photo, I used the Topaz Labs Plugin.

I love the Coco posts because she so reminds me of my cat I had when I was a teen. Her name was Bambi and she looked remarkably like Coco. Brings back nice memories. 🙂
I have two laptops because I used to work for a virtual assistant company and often needed two computers for that job. I quit almost two years ago and still had both. I recently had to switch back to my newer one (that has always annoyed me because Windows 8 is so glitchy, imo) because my other one was having issues. Neither one is very old, but there are unique problems with each. It's irritating. I bought my sons a laptop last year for Christmas and they hardly use it so I may just have to nab it and let them have one of mine. lol

You definitely need to nab theirs!

Beautiful Coco, we love seeing you in the garden and like knowing you are an inside cat, too. Mom's Mac battery died two years ago. It was only five years old. When she got a new battery, everything seemed to be fine for two months. Then the battery got so hot, it burned her and she was certain it would catch fire. So, she copied everything from it and no more Mac. Turned out, it's not smart enough to accept a newer OS anyway and all it's good for now is being a paperweight. An expensive, worthless paperweight. 🙁

Oh, that's terrible!

Coco is a beautiful girl. Your photography is amazing too.
Good luck with cleaning up your computer. It's something that needs attention and often. Glad that you know that.
Have a fabulous Feline Friday and a great weekend. ☺

Coco looks like she is really curious about what you are doing out in your garden. 🙂 Maybe she wants to help so she can grow some fresh catnip! I hope you are able to find the right computer. My computers tend to die before I have the ability to replace them. I keep all of my documents and photos on an external hard drive and a cloud drive.

So beautiful! Coco poses so nicely for the camera! She contrasts so beautifully against the greens of your garden 🙂

Pretty, very pretty garden girl! Winky winks to Coco from me! My mom has one of those "Mac" computers, too, Miss Pam. I think she said it was a "re-fur-bished" one, but I don't see any fur on it! She thinks it's running a bit slow, but she has a lot of stuff on it. I offer to "optimize" it for her all the time, but she doesn't usually take me up on the offer. Tee hee hee. I hope everything transfers to your new machine just fine & especially all your photos. Mew Mew & purrs!

Pam,
My MacBook Air is four years old and its feeling the strain with depleting HD space. It handles High Sierra pretty well considering all things but I'm fixing to get a new Mac, too. DH is getting me an iMac for an early Christmas present and I'm thrilled to pieces! So, while I keep things backup I should do a bit of maintenance so to not migrate unnecessary files to my new computer. BTW, I love your kitty's name, Coco! 😀 Have a good day!

You're going to love your iMac!!!

Another masterpiece of Coco, who is always a pleasure to see. Topaz is quite a tool and works well with her and the blooms around her. We have a time machine attached to our MAC and it backs up all our stuff for us, though it is still best to do a tidy up every now and then.
Have a lovely week with Coco and the gang

I usually wait until I am getting problems before I buy new. My laptop died suddenly a few weeks ago so have had to buy a new notebook. I back everything up to my external HD and also to USB memory sticks so didn't lose anything. I keep most things on the PC, but I did have a couple of short videos of me and Eric taken with the laptop webcam which I was sorry to lose. At least I have many more with my boys.
