Calico cat looking out the window

So I decided to take some more photos of my flowers.  This time it was some tulips that I picked up at the grocery store.  Please tell me that I’m not the only one that simply cannot walk by the display of tulips in the spring without buying some.  At least after they are done blooming, they can be planted in the garden, unlike the bouquets that I also buy regularly.

These tulips were past their prime.  They had already opened freely and didn’t resemble that tulip shape that we can all imagine.  I still like them when they are like this.  I love flowers in all their stages.

Tulips with a cat

Of course, it is impossible to take photos of flowers without kitty cat help.   Everyone knows that.

As you can see, it’s exhausting work. I took the last photo and ran it through the Topaz Labs Plugin and turned her into a work of art.

Great shots! You know, I’ve never even seen an open tulip. They are pretty that way too, but I’m partial to the traditional look. They are actually one of my favorite flowers.

How lovely Coco is in her sun puddle with flowers. Mom used to always have fresh flowers but had to give it up. Lisbeth just couldn’t stop eating them. In another few weeks there will be lots of tulips and daffodils blooming in our garden. Thanks for hopping and sharing your exquisite photos. We confess, we are more daffodil people, but yes, we totally understant the need to buy them when they appear in front of you!

Tulips are toxic to cats. Make sure your cats do not eat them.
