Making Cold Brew Green Tea is so easy and creates a lovely mellow flavor and it's so easy to add flavorings. I used Lemon Verbena, but mint would also be lovely!

Green Tea is so Good For You
I don't know about you, but every day it seems like some there is some new advice about coffee or tea. Well, mainly coffee. First it's good for you, then it's not, then it is.
Tea, however stays pretty consistent. Pretty much everyone agrees it's good for you, especially green tea. Some even say that it's one of the healthiest beverages on the planet. Sounds good to me.
I've been trying to drink a cup a day. Dragging the kettle out, filling it with water, killing time on Instagram while I wait for the water to boil, killing more time on Facebook while I wait for the tea to steep.
Then it hit me. I love cold brewed coffee. Why couldn't I cold brew tea. Turns out you can and it's crazy easy!
How to Make Cold Brew Green Tea
Making cold brew tea was so easy! It was so easy in fact that I experimented with adding some herbs. For this batch I added lemon verbena leaves.
It created this perfectly smooth green tea with a hint of lemon. I imagine you could do the same thing with mint leaves or even add a few flavored herbal teas for some extra flavor.
Cold Brew Tea is so Easy!
It's so easy. I filled a large mason jar with 6 cups of filtered water. I added 6 green tea bags (though you could use black or whatever flavor you like!) Then I cut off a small sprig of lemon verbena and gently bruised the leaves and added them into the jar (optional.) Put a lid on it and placed it in the fridge for 24 hours. After that, I removed the bags and verbena sprigs and had some of the best green tea ever! It was so smooth, I didn't even need to sweeten it!

I tried lemon verbena water at a friends house this summer and loved it. Great idea to use it in green tea! I am definitely growing some next spring! Pinned for later.

That must be refreshing and your nasturtium print glass is rather charming. With summer heading our way I think this is worth a try.
