    Cranberry Thanksgiving or Christmas Cocktails!

I love any excuse to make a fun cocktail and making a Christmas cocktail is the best excuse ever!

A Christmas or Thanksgiving Cocktail needs to be easy, since you already have so much to stress over, no need to stress over a cocktail.

It should be pretty and festive, it has to compete with all those decorations and all that food!

This Cranberry Negroni checks all those boxes and more!

Red cocktail garnished with cranberries in front of a bottle of Bombay Sapphire Gin.

What you Need to Make this Cranberry Mixed Drink:

    First choose your gin!

The first thing you need to decide is what kind of gin you want to use.  For this recipe, I wanted to use a London Dry Gin, because I love the juniper berry.  Juniper just goes so well with the holidays, don't you think?!

Red cocktail garnished with cranberries and a bottle of Campari behind it.

    Grab the Campari and Vermouth!

Have you tried Campari?  When you look at it, it looks like it’s going to be syrupy sweet, doesn’t it?  But it’s not.  It’s pleasantly bitter.  I love it’s bite in cocktails, it makes the best gin and tonic!

Sorry I didn't get a photo of the vermouth!  I was getting a little too impatient to drink this!  For a negroni, you want a sweet vermouth, not dry or blanco.

    Choose Your Cranberries!

Now, here is where you get to make some choices.  When I first made this negroni, I used the juice from Brandied Cranberries.   I've since made it with Cranberry Liqueur and I've even just used cranberry juice.  They all work.   Using the brandied cranberry juice and liqueur results in a sweeter negroni, using unsweetened cranberry juice keeps it a little more tart.

How to Make this Easy Cranberry Cocktail

It's so easy to make this Cranberry Cocktail!  Add ice to a cocktail shaker.   Then add gin, vermouth, campari, and cranberry syrup of your choice.  Shake and strain into a pretty glass.  Garnish with cranberries and orange slice!

    Enjoy!

I've never had campari but a coworkers loves a Negroni and always encourages me to try it. I do love Sapphire 🙂
