This Frozen Banana Daiquiri is like a sip of tropical heaven!  Cool, refreshing and so amazingly delicious!  Whip up a couple of these at your next barbecue or just enjoy them while sitting on your porch!

So Many Frozen Daiquiris So Little Time

Yes, I am back again with another frozen daiquiri recipe.

I know, just last week I shared a Mango Frozen Daiquiri.

After dragging out all my grandmother's tiki cocktail paraphernalia, I needed to put it to good use, before I put it all back in the china cabinet.

It seemed like a good time to work my way through some tiki cocktails.  I mean it's a hard job, but someone has to do it.

Two kinds of rum, frozen bananas, orange juice, and lime juice to make a frozen banana daiquiri.

Ingredients to Make a Frozen Banana Daiquiri

Rum - you want to use two kinds of rum, a light rum and dark rum.  It adds such a depth of flavor.  Homemade Vanilla Infused Rum would also be great in place of the dark rum!

    Frozen bananas.

    Orange Juice.

Lime Juice - fresh squeezed, not from a bottle!

    Ice - not pictured.

Tips for Freezing Bananas - when bananas are starting to get to that perfectly ripe state (and even a little over ripe,) I cut them into 4ths and place them on a baking sheet to freeze.  Once frozen, I scoop them into a plastic bag.  That way I know that if a recipe calls for a single banana, I need to take out 4 pieces.  Note that because of their high  sugar content, they stay a little sticky.

Two photos side by side showing the daiquiri being made in a blender.

How to Make a Banana Daiquiri

Place in a blender - rum, lemon juice, orange juice, frozen bananas, and then ice.

Process until smooth - about 30 seconds.

That's it!  You've just made a delicious frozen cocktail!

Two cocktail glasses with banana daiquiris, garnished with lime slices and cocktail umbrellas.

    The Best Frozen Cocktail!

These banana daiquiris are so good!  We have them at least a couple of times a month!

I think it's all the healthy potassium from the bananas, but I never feel hungover after these daiquiris.  Another good reason to add these to your summer cocktail list!

So, what are you waiting for, head into the kitchen right now and cut up some bananas to put in the freezer!  Really, go do it, now!

This Frozen Daiquiri is so delicious! Full of fruity flavor and so smooth and creamy!

    Ingredients

    • 2 ½ ounces dark rum
    • 2 ½ ounces light rum
    • 3 ounces lime juice
    • 2 ounces orange juice
    • 2 bananas frozen, very ripe, sliced
    • 2 cups ice

    Instructions

    • Place dark rum, light rum, lime juice, orange juice, and bananas into blender. Top with ice.
    • Blend until smooth and creamy.
    • Pour into chilled glasses.

    Notes

To freeze bananas - cut them into ¼'s and place on a cookie sheet.  Once frozen, scoop them into a ziplock bag and store in the freezer.  When a recipe calls for one banana, just get 4 parts.
Lime juice - always use fresh squeezed.  Bottled lacks the freshness.
Homemade Vanilla Infused Rum - would also be great with this recipe!
