A review of Kepe Blanco 2015 for Weekend Wine Reviews #297.

Kepe Blanco 2015, Spain, Wine Insiders, $17.99. They say: Kepe is a word with it's roots in the Aztec Language, meaning a very special Parcel of land. For this amazing value wine this brought us to the cool climate Valencia region of the Utiel Requena where we found Old Vine Macabeo (80%) vines and young fresh Sauvignon Blanc (20%) that gave us exactly what we were looking for. Fresh characterful dry tropical fruit flavours with a rich mouth pleasing weight and long finish. Keep an eye on this wine as it seriously punches above it's weight. We say: lush fruit, not overly sweet, citrusy, a bit herbaceous, with a nice long finish. Refreshing.
