The Kitties Love Purely Fancy Feast Filets

LAST UPDATED: September 23, 2024 PUBLISHED: February 16, 2018 By Pam Greer 22 Comments As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

This sponsored post was brought to you by the makers of Fancy Feast, but all opinions are my own (and the kitty cats!)  The kitties get to try new Purely Fancy Feast Filets!

Luxie and Coco get to try new Purely Fancy Feast Filets!

Does anyone else have finicky kitties?  We do.  One of the only foods that will eat with consistency is Fancy Feast, so when Fancy Feast asked if we would like to try some of their brand new Purely Fancy Feasts Filets.....  well, I'm sure the resounding "Yes, meow!" could be heard around the world.   These are new individual packaged filets in chicken, salmon, and tuna.  The idea is that this is a little more than a treat and little less than a meal.  These are designed to be fed anywhere, anytime.  They can be added to regular food at a meal or used for a very special treat.

For a treat, I left out a little of the chicken Purely Fancy Feasts Filets.  It didn't take long for Luxie to discover it and give it a big paws up.  Then because it's such a fun treat and perfect for a little snack time, I gave her a little nibble  on our desk where we sit and plan our day.  She loved it.

One of the great things about these is that they are filets.  It is so easy to break off a little piece and give it to your kitties, anytime, anywhere.  We normally give all the cats a treat around dinnertime.  This was started to encourage Coco to come back inside at a decent hour, so I didn't have to spend the evening calling for her.  I thought, why not try this filets?  These would be an extra special treat.  And yes, I know, Luxie doesn't go outside, but she gets to participate in the celebration of Coco coming inside.  These filets worked perfectly!  They loved them!

Using Fancy Feast Purely Fancy Filets as a treat!

Before I show the next set of photos, I need to explain the food/kitty cat situation around here.  Patchouli will not eat any wet cat food at all, one sniff and she walks away.  Luxie, on the other hand, will eat practically any wet food, though there are some that she eats with more enthusiasm than others, licking her bowl clean.  Coco falls in the middle.  She will eat some wet food, but rarely with any super enthusiasm.

I feed Luxie and Coco at the same time.  Luxie will eat a few bites, then hurry over to try and bully Coco away from her food, so that she can eat it too.  Coco usually just walks away, and Luxie finishes Coco's food and then hurries back to her dish to finish her own food.  That's what happens every time, except when it comes to Purely Fancy Feast Filets Tuna, then all bets are off.

In this first set of photos you can see them both beginning to eat.

Two calico cats eating from their food bowls.

Then Luxie does her quick finish and makes her move to Coco's bowl.  But wait a minute, instead of walking away, Coco goes over to Luxie's bowl!

Calico cats switch bowls of their Purely Fancy Feast Filets - Tuna.

Coco finds that Luxie has left some of her food in her dish, and poor Luxie finds out that Coco has licked hers clean!   Coco proceeds to eat Luxie's food!  Luxie can not believe this is happening.  This is not how it's supposed to work!  Coco even eats a crumb that fell on the ground (unheard of around here!)

Calico cats eating Purely Fancy Feast Filets - Tuna

Poor Luxie!  The expression on her face is priceless!  Coco even uses her paw to get out every last bit of Purely Fancy Feast Filets Tuna!   Luxie can not believe the way this is turning out!  Finicky Coco isn't supposed to eat her food and Luxie's too!!

    Calico cats eating

We finish up the whole eating drama, with Coco looking for more treats and poor Luxie coming back to see if Coco left her anything!  Luckily I have more Purely Fancy Feast Filets, so both kitties can be happy again!

Calico cat looking for more food!

Calico cat and her food dish!

The kitties and I would like to thank Fancy Feast for the opportunity to try new Purely Fancy Feast Filets!  Luxie and Coco give them a resounding paws up!!  We would love it if you would go check out the New Purely Fancy Feast Filets, visiting them shows how popular we are!  You do want us to be popular don't you?

Alice and Arya are not big on wet food. They celebrated their birthdays last weekend and we always give them canned food as a treat. They will eat a little bit, but most of it went into the left over dish. I'll give them a small spoonful daily until it's gone. Alice loves cat treats. Arya can take them or leave them. I may need to try these filets. Arya would probably especially like them.

Poor Luxie! That set of photos was such great storytelling. You totally captured their personalities.

Love the artsy shot with the colorful bowls. Nice pop of color.

This was hilarious. I love the surprise on Luxie's face. I bet she won't try that switch again any time soon. 😺

Oh, the drama! Cats are masters of it, and we wouldn't have them any other way.

      Your felines are beautiful.

Those do sound yummy. We have two Fancy Feast lovers here and although they are big gravy lovers, this might work out well for treats. We'll definitely check those out. Thanks for a great review!

Fancy Feast was what I fed my kitties back in the day.

Ah yes fussy felines, I know them well as I am one MOL Your two ladies are a delight to see and have clearly found something they love a lot. Me, I love treats but come main food then no brand of cat food cuts it. I do like roast beef and chicken though, so I do have a cultured palate but then I am a princess.

Well I don't have a cat so I lived out my cat fantasy with all my friends cats on the internet. Your kitties are beautiful and I love the different colored bowls. It seems to me that the new treats were a big success. I'm thinking your going to have to fill those bowls again...
      Have a nice Sunday Pam.

I will have to look in my grocery store for those! Thanks for posting their review and the great pics of the kitties. I love seeing them! My cat, Max, is a fan of Fancy Feast’s “Medleys,” with veggies added. Go figure.

This is what I fed my kitties years ago. It was their favorite of all kitty food.

Have a fabulous day. Scritches to the kitties. ♥

Those must be really yummy! Your cats seem like they can't get enough. Manna and Dexter enjoy Fancy Feast foods, so we might just have to give these a try. 🙂
