Random Luxie Photos
Well, I am back this week with some more random photos from the archives. Did you miss us last week? We were gone all week on a vacation in Kentucky. Before we left, I contemplated setting up a bunch of blog posts to schedule out and then decided against it.
I wanted to take a real vacation. No blogging. No checking stats (well I did a couple of times!)
For Christmas, our middle daughter gave us tickets to the Paul McCartney concert in Lexington, KY. We had always wanted to do the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, so we decided to tack that on to the week before the concert.
Kentucky
We drove the backroads from our home to our first stop in Bardstown, Kentucky. I love the backroads. There was hardly any traffic and so much more to look at than when you drive the interstate.
Besides drinking fabulous bourbon, visiting all the distilleries that we could manage, there were the rolling hills of Kentucky. It was soothing just to look at the farms, the hills, the fences, the horses.
Then to finish it all up with a Paul McCartney concert! As we sat there, the whole audience singing along and swaying to "Hey Jude" - it was like a dream. The perfect moment.
As I finish up, I hope you enjoy this collage of Luxie and Coco playing when Luxie was a kitten. Luxie is now bigger than Coco. They don't play like this much any more. Coco doesn't seem to be in the mood, perhaps she knows that Luxie is bigger and more muscular.
They used to play together a lot - Luxie and Coco Playing.
For my artsy photo, I once again used Topaz Labs, Simplify plugin.

Road trip AND Paul McCartney! Wow...what a great little vacation!
It was so much fun!
Sounds like a fun concert and trip. The kitties are so cute playing together!
Luxie and Coco can play with me anytime. Maybe the three of us can devise a plan to keep you and my momma from going on further travels this year. Tee hee hee. My mom has been away too many times this year. Hugs.
Sounds like a plan!
You have such perfect pictures of them all, and I have to say, paw on heart, that the final image today is wonderful—a real winner in every regard, and maybe the best I have seen.

Thank you so much Erin!
I did wonder when there wasn't a post lat week, but figured you were probably on vacation. Sounds like a fun trip. Paul McCartney...lucky you!
Love these shots of Luxie and Coco playing. Alice and Arya still play occasionally, but as Alice gets older, she's less and less likely to want to. I know she gets aggravated with Arya and her frequent attempts. lol
Pretty artsy photo of Luxie!
Thanks, I was so excited to see him and it was so good!
Such cute photos of Luxie and Coco. I am glad you enjoyed the concert.
Thank you, I loved it!
Sounds like you had a really nice time. Your photos are beautiful...as always.
Thank you!
It sounds like a wonderful vacation, glad you enjoyed it. I love these pictures of Coco and Luxie, so darling. Welcome back!
Thanks!
these photos are gorgeous!! Hope you had a great time in Kentucky!!! Seeing Paul McCartney is an added bonus! As for stats, I gave up checking those at least two years ago.
Oh, I check stats daily, but that's just how I do things!
Yes, we did miss you!
We're glad you had a nice time. I've never heard Hey Jude live and that is one of my all-time favourite songs!
Beautiful photos of Luxie 🙂
It was so good!
Luxie has the most beautiful blue eyes! It is fun to travel on the back roads. It is so much less stressful. And, yes, it is much more interesting!
My daughter got us a couple of travel books on backroad trips, we need to do some!
That sounds like a lovely holiday. We always try to take the back roads unless we have to get somewhere on a schedule. You miss so much by travelling on the motorways.
The photos of Luxie are lovely. She has beautiful eyes.
The backroads are so much more enjoyable.
