For various reasons, we will not be putting up our live Christmas Tree until next weekend. For now, it rests with the trunk in a big pot of water under the porch, getting a nice long drink. But I didn't want Luxie to have to wait so long, so her little Christmas tree is up and ready! Actually it's not just her tree, Coco claimed this tree when she was a kitten. So, they share it.
Luxie enjoys it the most though. She loves to rest by it while I am journaling and planning my day. My planner stays open through the day so I can check things off, so the table is used all through the day, both by me and by Luxie.
There is a bird feeder not too far from the window and the table makes the perfect bird watching spot. When we put up our Christmas tree, the table gets moved even closer to the window, making it even better for bird watching!
Anyone else love the angles of winter light? It just pours into the house so nicely, providing wonderful shadows.
For this week's artsy photo, I used Topaz Labs Simplify Plugin.
Your house does have fantastic lighting. I love Luxie's tree. So cute!
Wonderful artsy shot this week. 🙂
Great photos with the sillouette coming from the natural light. Beautiful cat.
Cool Christmas tree you have there 🙂 And there's no danger that Luxie will knock it over 😀
Beautiful cat, photos, and blog!
Luxie is so pretty and she has the loveliest tree!
Aww...I love how you and Luxie use the table together. I love working with my dogs close by.
Yes, it makes it so much fun to get work done!
That's the perfect "personal size" or in this case..."cat size" tree for Luxie! (and Coco!) I love how the light hits the tree, beautiful shots!!
She loves it!
A real tree in this house would be a disaster. The little tree is adorable
We have a real tree too, so far, so good!
Oh, the art picture is fabulous! How nice that Luxie has a little tree to enjoy as well as sunlight and bird watching!
What a pretty tree, Luxie. It's almost as pretty as you and your photos.
I think my pups would be jealous that they don't have their own tree, so I won't tell them 😉 That tree is adorable and I love those pictures.

Luxie's little tree is so cute.
I love how the black flows through from her face to the back of her body, in both pictures. Always a great pleasure to see these selfies on a Sunday.

Those pictures are works of art.
I just love the kitty photos!
super, super sweet photos!
I just love your cat pics! The artsy ones are a great touch. Thanks for sharing and I hope it all works out to get your tree up soon!
Beautiful!
Beautiful ! I know what you mean about the angles of light. My favorite is the angles of late winter in the late afternoon - it hits the brown grass and makes you realize Spring will come again !
Amazing use of shadows in that photo!
