Luxie and Her Window
I've done lots of posts of Luxie and Her Window. I've even shown you both her and Coco looking out the window. Well, I am back again today with more of Luxie and her window, this time from a different angle.
Walking back into the dining room to get my memory card out of my camera to start editing the food photos I took yesterday, I saw Luxie looking out the window. She had her paws curled under her and looked so cute!
I had the camera in my hand so I kind of squeezed in between the table that she was one and an antique secretary desk (we have lots of furniture and all one can do is squeeze in between it!)
Intently Watching
You can see that she is very intently watching something. Usually it is birdies. This is her favorite time of the day, in the cool of the morning, I open the dining room window for a bit.
She is not watching the birdies this morning though. Can you guess what she is watching?
If you guessed sprinklers, you would be right! Yes, I am back again running the dreaded sprinklers. I swear we are cursed with no rain. If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen my stories where I posted a photo of the radar. You'll see rain above us, below us, and to each side of us. We are in a small oasis of absolutely no rain.
It is literally like the parting of the red sea. A big huge swath of rain is heading straight for us, only to part right down the middle and go on each side of us. Every. Single. Time.
Yesterday, I could hear the thunder, I could even smell the rain. We got maybe 3 drops of rain.
On a more positive note, did you see the contest at 15 and Meowing for adorable socks? I won!! I can't wait to show you what they look like! Also she needs some purrs and prayers for Noel kitty.
For my artsy photo, I used Topaz Labs:

Those enhanced colours look lovely on Luxie, but she is beautiful with or without them.
We have been getting abnormally high temperatures and dry conditions in Europe too. Our green fields that usually stay lovely and green all year round are going crisp and brown. It is supposed to be turning cooler and changeable. I hope so!
Pam Greer says
I saw that on the news! Let's hope we all get some rain!

Such a beautiful Luxie, she sure enjoys her special viewing place. Yes, that no rain thing gets old after a while. Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

Thanks Brian!

Beautiful Luxie photos as always. This is the first year ever we are not using our sprinklers. We just keep getting rain. Hopefully you will get some rain soon.

That was us last year, I loved it!

I love when they curl their paws like that. 🙂 She looks so pretty.
You can have some of Nashville's rain. It seems like it rains every day here.
Congrats on your socks win!
Pam Greer says
I would gladly take some of your rain!

The delightful expression of Luxie, and whilst you are not yet blessed with rain, you are blessed with such fine feline companions and a great skill.
Lots of purrs to you all

thanks Erin!

Maybe you could asked Luxie if she would talk to Mother Nature about bringing you some rain. How could Mother Nature refuse her beautiful eyes?
That's so pawsome that you won the socks! CONCATS to you! Hugs.
Pam Greer says
Apparently mother nature can refuse her!

O Goodie I got to be next to Luxie on the Sunday's blog hop! My human is always telling me how gorgeous Luxie is and now I got to see for myself. I'm with you on the morning Window Watch thing, Luxie, though my human keeps telling me my window perch is "too hot." However I am going to tell my human not to look at you and admire you so much, Luxie, as it takes away valuable "watch time" from me, her OWN cat! Hrmmph!

I have decided that I think cameras were invented for calico cats. They look EXCEPTIONAL in photos and Luxie certainly proves that to be true!
