A few photos of my kitty cat, Luxie. Post may contain affiliate links.
Luxie loves to come and sit with me in the guest bedroom whenever I am photographing food. It is a guest bedroom/sewing room/photography studio! She likes that she can lay on the bed and watch me work. I got a few comments last week on the photography spin that I put on last week’s post. So, I thought I’d share a little more today. For these photos, I had my Canon 135 f2 lens on my camera. This is a gorgeous portrait lens. The 135 means that to get a full body shot, I would have to be fairly far away, but for portraits and kitty cats I can get closer. The f2, means that I can let in plenty of light and have just a narrow sliver in focus. You can see in the above photo that just Luxie’s eyes and nose are in focus, the focus falls off rapidly behind her and in front of her. Now, if the background had been outside, it would have been pretty. However, my white foam board and other photo props don’t make for such a pretty background.
For my artsy shot, I ran the photo through the Topaz Labs plugin, using the Renoir II preset.
