When so many people are in harm's way of hurricanes this year, I feel bad talking about our gorgeous weather. But we have had spectacular weather for early September. Chattanooga is hosting an Ironman competition this weekend and the weather will be absolutely perfect. The high Saturday is supposed to be 81 and the high on Sunday will be 79 with mornings in the upper 50's!
Luxie is loving this weather too! She sits out on the porch and then comes running in all frisky! Sometimes I feel bad that she is not outside in the yard playing, but then I remind myself on how much healthier she'll be and it's one less kitty cat that I have to worry about going after the birdies.
Mr. Sidewalk Shoes took Friday off of work, and we got up kind of early and went for a hike! It was so beautiful! You might have seen some of it on my Instagram stories. We hiked almost 2 ½ miles. Not a huge amount, but we are just starting to get back into hiking. It was mainly downhill on the way out and then we had to turn around and make our way back uphill.
Please all of you in the path of hurricane Irma - stay safe.
For artsy this week, I again used the Topaz Labs plugin.

On my end, I hate to grump about the weather what with all that's going on with Irma and now Maria. My friend in the Caribbean was hit pretty hard with Irma (her house was destroyed) and now they're hunkering down for Maria. Yikes! Anyway, I was quite perturbed with the almost 90 degree temps we've had in Nashville this week. I am SO ready for fall temperatures.
As usual, Luxie looks gorgeous. Beautiful artsy shot!

Luxie is a very pretty girl. I love her coloring.
Good on the hike. I think I would have wanted to go uphill on the first half, not the last half.
Have a purrfect Feline Friday. ☺

Luxie is looking so lovely their on her porch! Winky winks. I would love to sit there beside her & hold her paw in mine. We could listen to each other's purrs. I'm glad she is enjoying some wonderpurr weather & is safe. Mom says if the weather is nice here she'll let me sit in my stroller on the patio. Mew Mew!

Gorgeous photos, just gorgeous! No way am I going to talk about our great weather, I feel so bad for everyone in Irma's path, but am glad for now that she has veered more West. I have family in Miami and Plantation that did not evacuate.
