Can someone tell me how it is September already? It seems like only yesterday that I was so excited about the beginning of the year, all the to-dos that I was going to accomplish, the decluttering that was going to happen. Here it is September and I feel like I've barely accomplished anything at all.
I do love these cooler mornings, though, and so does Patchouli. She is still such a big chicken and spends most of her time furtively glancing this way and that. Every single cat picks on her. I think they think it's great fun to watch her cower and wail. She is a huge drama queen and it sounds like they are killing her, even when they aren't even touching her.
I can't finish this post without mentioning the heartbreaking devastation of Hurricane Harvey. We are donating to the Humane Society of Houston and to our local Humane Society where they are taking in some of the displaced animals. Every day I feel blessed to have a dry home, my family and cats all safe.

The hurricane devastation has been terrible. I've donated to the effort. I too am glad to have a dry home and a safe family.
Don't feel bad. The year always gets away from me. Hard to believe we will be in a new year in less than four months!

If I was allowed to go outside on my own, I would love to be Patchouli's protector. She is quite beautiful. I would ask to walk paw in paw with her in the park, too. Mew Mew!

Patchouli is such a lovely lady, and it must be a treat to the eye to have her with you when you are outside. I do hope she plucks up that courage to dish out a little bit of smack paw and achieve some trouble and stress free moments in her life.

We have had one or the other of our 7 take the mantle of scardy-cat, well, not Rumpy, but the rest yes. Recently Einstein had been bothering me terribly. I put up with it for too long and then I HISSS WHAP! I should have done it way long ago as I have him by 5 pounds. Hoping Patchouli soon gets her MoJo and becomes one of the clowder.
